If you one of our company’s authorized dealers and would like to use any of our trademarks, please observe the following guidelines.
In particular, whatever the commercial relationship, any advertising through dealers must clearly state that it does not come from Philips.
There are two acceptable approaches:
Exclusive advertising If your advertisement or other promotional materials are exclusively devoted to Philips products, they should follow the strict guidelines on the size and positioning of our trademarks in advertisements. At all times, you must clearly indicate your status as an authorized dealer.
Use of the wordmark ‘Philips’ would, for example, not be proper if it incorrectly implies that:
- your product or service is developed by Philips
- the Philips mark is part of your company name, or
- your product or service contains Philips technologies.
You must ensure that all our trademarks, including the wordmark ‘Philips’, are always positioned on their own and apart from other text and graphics – in particular, from other trademarks and service marks owned by you or others.
Non-exclusive advertising If your advertisement or other promotional materials include the promotion of third-party products, and are therefore not exclusively devoted to Philips products, you can use your own house style and display our trademarks, so long as this is done correctly. You can find our usage guidelines here.
Your house style may override the Philips house style rules regarding the size and positioning of the trademarks. But, at all times, all our trademarks including the wordmark Philips, should be no less prominent than – and the same relative size as – the most prominent third-party trademark on a page.
Our trademarks must be used in a way that distinguishes them from other third-party marks and logos. Visually, the Philips wordmark should always be linked to the Philips product(s). The Philips wordmark should never be larger than the dealer logo or trading style. This ensures that no-one will think that another company’s advertised product or service is provided by Philips.
Use on dealer stationery On stationery (letterheads, business cards, etc.) authorized dealers are entitled to use only the Philips wordmark – and it must be less prominent than their own logo or trading style. You may not adopt the design of Philips’ official stationery or create a look-a-like. You must use the statement ‘authorized dealer of Philips’ to indicate your status as a dealer.
If you need further information on proper use of our trademarks, please contact us at ips.domain@philips.com.
